As a Collateral Analyst you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the appraisal ordering process and the appraisal review process. Your responsibilities will include:
Research property and market data
Order and monitor appraisals, BPOs, AVMs, and other valuation types
Provide detailed feedback and recommendations to appraisers and underwriters
Collaborate with appraisers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes
Assist in developing and implementing collateral review policies and procedures
Provide timely status updates to team members on assigned valuation orders; monitor and handle the entire pipeline process of appraisal orders daily from order entry to delivery
Maintain workflow efficiency through Mercury Network, Clear Capital and other third‑party platforms
Follow up on progress of appraisal order assignments outside of expected timeframes
Handle communications with loan officers, processors, underwriters, collateral analysts and appraisers regarding the status of appraisals, ETA’s, etc.
Track and communicate issues and status updates to requestor in a calm and professional manner both verbally and in writing
Contact appraisers and clients for status updates while maintaining a detailed communication record
Track and process invoices
Have a thorough understanding of all valuation products and requirements
Perform related duties as assigned by manager
Requirements
Background in real estate valuation and mortgage while also having familiarity with related documents such as appraisals, contracts, leases, budgets
Must have at least 1 year of appraisal‑related experience. We will consider 2 years of relevant mortgage experience.
Organized and detail‑oriented person with the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment with a high level of production
Experience with Mercury Network preferred
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to function efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines
Outstanding people and customer service skills
Must be able to manage a high volume of emails, voicemail and incoming phone calls and messages
Effectively communicate with people of all levels
Experience with multifamily properties is ideal (5+ units)
