Position Overview We are seeking a sales leader who lives and breathes the events world. The Outbound Catering Sales Manager will focus entirely on securing high‑end corporate, social and special events both in our venues and at premier off‑site locations. This is a highly relationship‑driven role that requires a strong book of business, strong visibility in the market, and the confidence to be out there building connections every day. This role partners closely with our Sales, Operations, Production, Beverage, Staffing, and Culinary teams and serves as a polished ambassador of the Tres LA brand.
What You Will Do
Grow new catering revenue by actively pursuing large-scale corporate & social event opportunities in the market
Maintain a strong presence at networking events, industry functions, and tastings to strengthen visibility and referrals
Cultivate deep relationships with producers, planners, venues, and clients who value elevated experiences
Host inspiring tours and planning sessions that highlight our venue capabilities and creative food offerings
Deliver thoughtful proposals and sales decks that reflect our high service standards and design‑minded presentation
Work closely with Production, Beverage, Staffing, and Culinary leadership to ensure what is promised is flawlessly delivered
Maintain organized CRM records with accurate pipeline tracking and revenue forecasts
Bring energy, excitement, and polished hospitality to every interaction
What Makes You a Strong Fit
Proven success selling luxury or premium event catering
Must have an existing network of producers, planners, and clients
Confident and sociable personality with a passion for being out in the market
A follow‑through champion who delivers what they promise and protects the client experience
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with strong proposal presentation ability
Organized and detail focused with the ability to manage multiple clients and event timelines
Competitive spirit and a love of the win while staying collaborative with the internal team
Requirements
Existing book of minimum $2m worth of business in the Catering and Event market
5+ years of experience in the event and catering industry
7+ years of experience in the hospitality industry
Experience using Tripleseat
Strong network of planners, venues, and industry partners with visible market presence
Ability to travel across the greater Los Angeles area to different venues
KPIs
The Outbound Catering Sales Manager is responsible for producing a minimum of $750,000 in food and beverage revenue within the first twelve months.
After the first year, they are responsible for producing a minimum of $2,000,000 in food and beverage revenue annually.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 annually
A strong commission structure that places on target earnings between $180,000 and $260,000 annually
