Farmers Insurance is looking for an energetic and goal‑oriented sales representative to join our inbound call center team. In this hybrid role you will promote Farmers insurance products to prospective customers via phone, consult with them to understand their needs, and close sales that best fit their situation. You may also make outbound calls to optimize sales potential.
Base Pay Range $43,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr
Additional Compensation
Commission
Uncapped performance‑based incentive (average up to $27,300, top performers can earn $75,000 extra)
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound calls, gather customer data, generate quotes, and bind the business.
Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships, educating customers on coverage and cost.
Qualify customers for cross‑sell and upsell opportunities.
Navigate multiple computer systems while interacting with the customer.
Make outbound calls to maximize sales potential.
Qualifications
1+ year of sales experience in retail, hospitality, or related industries.
Proven ability to meet quotas, metrics, and goals.
Drive to work in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment.
Desire for a long‑term career within the insurance industry.
Direct sales skills and aptitude to influence customers and close the sale.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to adapt communication style and explain complex policy information clearly.
Eligibility to obtain a resident/non‑resident property and casualty license in all required states (Farmers will sponsor and train).
Location & Schedule This role is Hybrid
Office location: 700 Quaker Lane Suite 300, Warwick, RI 02886
Initial training may require in‑office attendance; after training you will transition to a hybrid model: three days in office and two days virtual (most teams work Monday‑Wednesday in‑office, but shifts may vary).
Training Hours: Monday‑Friday 10:30am‑7:30pm EST
Work Schedule: Full‑time – 40 hours/week; five 8‑hour shifts per week. You must be available for any shift within the following hours: evenings, Saturdays, and holidays as assigned.
Education & Licensing
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Obtain resident/non‑resident property and casualty license within 90 days of hire.
Complete required additional training.
