Business Account Executive At TDS Telecom, we connect people using cutting‑edge fiber internet technology. We seek a solution seller to join our Commercial Sales team, identifying opportunities to leverage TDS’s full complement of solutions and technology offerings, including hosted and premise‑based VoIP, managed services, and web security.

This role focuses on uncovering customer needs, understanding key business drivers, and delivering compelling solutions to our prospects. The position covers the Brookfield, Waukesha, Janesville, or Milton, WI territories and reports to the Middleton, WI sales office, with a hybrid schedule 3‑4 times per month.

Business Account Executives are targeted to earn $88,920+ per year (Base + Commission).

Responsibilities

Identify, contact, and build relationships with prospective customers through telephone and in‑person cold calls, networking, and referrals to obtain appointments.

Meet or exceed sales growth targets by determining customer needs, presenting how TDS can solve challenges, and communicating the value proposition.

Maintain accurate customer status and forecasts in the CRM system for all new sales and track opportunities.

Leverage the TDS CRM system to develop prospecting and sales strategies that ensure high activity and effective closing ratios.

Write and submit accurate new orders following the established sales process.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of sales experience.

1+ year of cold‑calling experience.

Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.

Other Qualifications

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑system environment.

Strong territory management using technology, prioritization, and time‑management skills.

Track record in business‑to‑business sales.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Cell phone access.

Goal setting, planning, and achievement experience.

Independent decision making and problem solving.

Computer literacy (Excel, Word, email, internet).

Quota attainment ability.

Pay Transparency Listed salary includes base pay and potential earnings from meeting sales quotas. Final offer will be based on skills, experience, location, and role‑specific competencies. With uncapped commission incentives, you have unlimited earning potential.

Pay Range: $79,000 – $128,400 per year.
