Position Details

Night Shift Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 6:30 pm – 7:00 am (may change to Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday in the future)

Requirements

Master's Degree of Social Work (MSW) – required

Illinois state social work license or eligibility to obtain it within 90 days

Role Purpose Under the direction of a physician, the Social Worker assists patients and their families in their residences or inpatient/outpatient settings to adapt and plan an interdisciplinary approach to the patient‑family system.

Responsibilities

Provides direct clinical services to patients and families.

Plans and implements social work services on assigned clinical services or units in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Collaborates with community human service agencies to meet the needs of patients, families, and the hospital.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

Master's Degree in Social Work.

Experience:

None required.

Supervisor Experience:

None required.

Preferred Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in a clinical social work setting.
