The
Estimator & Pavement Consultant
is a dynamic role responsible for estimating projects, building client relationships, and driving sales growth. This position serves as the primary liaison for clients, ensuring maximum value from services while aligning client needs with company solutions. The role blends technical estimating expertise with consultative sales and project management skills to deliver exceptional results. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Qualify Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for viability and attainability. Attend pre-bid meetings, conduct site visits, take measurements, and evaluate jobsite conditions. Review project drawings, plans, and specifications (civil, architectural, structural) to prepare detailed take-offs, scopes of work, and pricing estimates for materials, supplies, manpower, and subcontractor needs. Develop and negotiate comprehensive proposals, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals. Issue Requests for Information (RFIs) and obtain material and service quotes from suppliers and vendors. Serve as the primary relationship owner for an assigned portfolio of clients, ensuring retention, satisfaction, and growth. Identify new business opportunities, qualify leads, and provide a consultative sales approach to address client needs. Conduct strategy meetings with sales and marketing teams and present annual plans to clients. Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, proactively identifying new vertical markets and profitable growth segments. Act as the liaison between clients, the Director of Operations, Project Managers, and field teams from project inception to completion. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless project hand‑offs, resource allocation, and execution. Monitor competitors, market trends, and project schedules to inform strategy and planning. Qualifications (Experience, Education & Certifications, Key Attributes)

Team‑oriented with the ability to work independently as needed. Background in construction, paving, or related industries. Familiarity with estimating software and CRM tools. Demonstrated expertise in aligning technical solutions with client business challenges. Physical Requirements
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods: Occasionally Moving about to accomplish tasks at a worksite or moving from one worksite to another: Constantly Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching: Rarely Adjusting, moving and lifting objects in all directions: Rarely Talking and hearing to communicate with others: Constantly Seeing to perform job duties at close range, such as monitors or screens: Constantly Seeing to perform job duties at a distance, such as driving or operating equipment: Occasionally Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers: Constantly Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like: Rarely Operating machinery and/or power tools: Rarely Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment: Occasionally The ability to travel regionally or nationally: Occasionally Physical Demands
