Sales Estimator
Job Location: San Antonio, TX, US
Overview Pave America is a private equity‑backed, fast‑growing, and highly acquisitive facility services company. We have over 30 operating companies located in most of the major population centers in the U.S. The company has an annual revenue of ~\$1 billion and has over 1,500 employees across the country. Pave America is organized into 5 regions, one of which is the Texas Region, for which this role will be serving. The Texas region has plans to accelerate our growth by aggressively pursuing acquisition opportunities, with an imminent acquisition already under LOI with ~\$30M revenue, and plans for more in 2026.
The
Sales Estimator
assists the sales/estimating department by qualifying Requests for Bids (RFPs) from existing and potential clients, evaluating jobsite conditions, reviewing project drawings and specifications, and contacting suppliers, vendors and subcontractors. The estimator converts collected data into scopes of work and take‑offs, materials and manpower pricing estimates, and incorporates these into RFP response documents. Excellent proposal development, presentation and negotiating skills are essential.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Attend sales and marketing strategy meetings.
Make contact with clients and qualify leads.
Schedule and conduct pre‑bid meetings with clients.
Read and review civil, architectural and/or structural engineering plans, drawings and specifications.
Prepare site take‑off, measurements, calculations, etc.
Estimate costs for materials, supplies, manpower, etc.
Negotiate proposal terms and pricing with clients, and make revisions as needed.
Perform regular follow‑ups until projects are awarded or are no longer valid opportunities.
Serve as liaison between client, Director of Operations, Project Managers and Foremen, from initial project phase to completion.
Work closely with Director of Operations, Project Managers and Foremen to hand‑off projects.

AA/BA degree preferred; will substitute work experience in lieu of college degree.
Proficient using Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel and Outlook.
Proficient using estimating software.
Excellent attention to detail, with ability to work with minimal supervision.
Dependable and professional team player.
Superior organization and communication (verbal and written) skills.
A minimum of three years previous asphalt and/or concrete estimating required.
All Estimators/Project Managers must maintain a clean driving record and be fully insured.
