Structures Mechanic

As a Structures Mechanic, you will work in an aircraft manufacturing facility specializing in 737 fuselage repair. Your tasks will include installing, sealing, rigging, inspecting, and completing precision and other structural and system components. You will follow drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship. Responsibilities Perform structural re-work, repairs, and installations on 737 aircraft, focusing on the fuselage, join areas, and doors. Remove and reinstall fasteners, drill holes to close tolerance, and install rivets and fasteners of various types. Repair composite panels and replace and repair flight controls. Fabricate and install doublers and triplers. Conduct functional tests and ensure correct fit, form, and function of assemblies and components. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in sheet metal and aircraft structures repair. Proficiency in reading blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications Training will take place in Wichita, KS, or another location as determined. A plate test will be conducted during the first week of training. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will be part of an on-site team, working in a factory environment with shifts that may last 8 to 12 hours, as much as 7 days a week, either from 5 am to 5 pm or 2:30 pm to 2:30 am. Training may occur in various locations, with flights, hotel, and car expenses covered. All work hours are paid, even during periods of waiting for aircraft access. Tools are provided, and there is no dress code requirement. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Renton, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $51.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
