This role offers a blend of technical tax planning and compliance work across a diverse global client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Depending on your unique skills and ambitions, you may manage a range of tasks including technical planning and advising for private entities (C‑Corp, S‑Corp, Partnerships) and high‑profile individuals.
You will be a trusted advisor, coach, and role model, developing a high‑performing team while maintaining quality and commercial value.
Collaboration with partners and teams to develop account strategies and deliver additional services will be essential.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Researching tax issues to develop effective planning strategies.
Leading teams across all types of tax work, from entities to individuals.
Translating complex data into client‑ready insights and deliverables.
Building long‑term client relationships with tailored service.
Communicating complex tax issues to non‑tax professionals and clients.
Updating and sharing technical and best‑practice knowledge.
Supervising high‑performing teams and sharing leading‑practice experience.
Identifying and reacting to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, significant tax, business, or financial planning experience, and CPA certification or Bar membership.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in professional services or a professional tax organization.
Thorough understanding of estate and wealth planning, and experience with federal and state personal and trust income tax.
Experience with flow‑through entities (S‑Corps, Partnerships, LLCs).
Experience with C‑Corps, including income tax provisions and consolidated federal and state returns.
Excellent collaboration, negotiation, and confidence to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders.
Understanding of automated tax processing systems and relevant laws.
Experience managing budgets and projects.
Willingness to travel as needed and ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment.
Preferred
Proven record in tax planning for owners and their families.
Proven record in a professional services environment.
Experience coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
Executive presence and business development skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Adaptable work style for collaboration with internal and client teams.
