Tax Manager/Senior Manager/Director (HNW and Partnership Focus)
We are a growing professional services firm based in Chicago, IL looking for a Tax Manager, Senior Manager, or Director to manage and review complex tax engagements. The role emphasizes technical accuracy, quality review, and client service, with the opportunity to work closely with clients and staff in a collaborative, advisory‑focused environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and review partnership, individual, and corporate tax returns for accuracy and compliance
Prepare complex returns as needed and resolve technical tax issues
Advise clients on tax matters and communicate directly regarding planning, filings, and compliance
Review work prepared by staff; provide coaching, guidance, and technical feedback
Ensure adherence to firm quality standards and deadlines
Collaborate with senior leadership to maintain service excellence and client satisfaction
Qualifications
Extensive experience with partnership and high‑net‑worth individual taxation
Prior tax review experience required; preparation experience a plus
Strong technical research, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Experience mentoring or supervising staff preferred but not required
