About the Club
Turner Hill is an 18 hole private club which opened in 2004 and designed by Hurzdan/Fry. In addition to golf, the club has 2 tennis courts, 2 paddle courts, swimming pool, indoor fitness center, and a historic 45,000 square foot mansion which hosts a multiple of events throughout the year.
Position: 2nd Assistant Superintendent Join our team as a dedicated 2nd Assistant Superintendent at our prestigious golf course. In this role, you will assist the 1st Assistant and Head Superintendent in all aspects of managing the golf course maintenance operation. You will play a crucial role in overseeing course maintenance, irrigation systems, chemical applications, and equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for turfgrass management, excellent leadership skills, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
Monitoring course conditions
Supervising staff
Managing inventory
Implementing turf management programs
Winter work consists of snow removal and equipment/course maintenance projects
Qualifications
Background in turf management or a related field
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in golf course maintenance and managing turfgrass operations
Strong leadership and communication skills
Managing the irrigation system and water conservation initiatives
Experience with equipment operation
Must have or obtain a Massachusetts Pesticide Applicators license withing 60 days of hire
