We’re looking for a detail-oriented, client-focused professional to join our team in a role that blends inside sales with procurement and vendor management. This role combines inside sales for standard product needs with procurement and vendor management. The Inside Sales & Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for quoting predefined product bundles (workstations, monitors, cameras, access points, etc.) with known labor rates, and upon client approval, executing procurement and inventory management. Project-based quoting (e.g., surveillance systems, door access controls) is handled by a separate team.

What You’ll Do As Inside Sales

Handle inbound inquiries for standard IT products and services.

Prepare and issue quotes using predefined product lists and labor rates within a specific timeframe.

Send quotes to clients, track approvals, and update records in ticketing/ERP systems.

Cross-sell related parts and services where appropriate.

Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers while supporting our operations team.

Procurement & Inventory

Source and procure IT hardware/software from approved distributors (e.g., Ingram Micro, Tech Data).

Issue purchase orders, negotiating costs, lead times, and delivery schedules.

Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure timely availability of parts.

Maintain accurate records of client accounts, purchases, supplier contacts, part numbers, pricing, and delivery documentation.

Manage returns, RMAs, and contract-related documentation.

Suggest and implement supplier/vendor improvements to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications & Experience Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

2+ years of purchasing/procurement experience

Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or equivalent)

Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

Strong relationship management and vendor negotiation skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

2–4 years’ experience in purchasing, manufacturing, or warehouse environment

1–3 years of experience with IT-related hardware, software, and related services

Knowledge of IT hardware/software procurement processes

Strong analytical and presentation skills

Physical Demand

Sit or stand for periods of time.

Reach, stoop, or kneel.

Lift and carry hardware and boxes that may weigh 50 pounds or more.

Compliance & Background Requirements

Be a U.S. Citizen and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Pass a MSHP/Federal fingerprint-based background check.

Complete the CJIS Security & Privacy Training Certification.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in our St Louis, MO office.
