What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Drive sales with new customers and strengthen existing revenues within state government markets

Navigate state procurement processes and manage RFX processes and government contracting requirements

Build relationships with technical and non-technical government officials and engage with systems integrators

Maintain consistent quota attainment and manage a healthy sales pipeline

Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical officials while understanding state IT infrastructure challenges

What is Required (Qualifications)

Minimum of 4-5 years of direct field sales experience, preferably in government markets

Proven track record of overachieving sales quotas

4-year college degree or equivalent experience

Ability to travel to customer locations 70% of the time, with up to 40% overnight travel

Reside within the sales territory

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience with state procurement processes and funding mechanisms

Familiarity with state MSA terms and contract vehicles applicable to the business

Strong networking skills in government associations and conferences
