Job Summary

The Director of Graduate Student Engagement will be an integral part of multiple teams focused on delivering high-quality co-and extra-curricular experiences for incoming and current students within a suite of six distinct MBA and MS Graduate Programs as well as future programs. This person will build and enhance relationships with prospective and current students, and collaborate with admissions and recruitment, academic services, career services and alumni relations in support of seamless onboarding experiences and cohesive and highly satisfactory student experiences.

Duties & Essential Job Functions

Supports an exceptional student experience for students across a portfolio of programs.
Serves as primary point of contact for students in a portfolio of programs that spans the Executive MBA, MS in Business Analytics, MS in Business, Full-time MBA, and Professional MBA programs and other new graduate programs that may be developed. Introduces mechanisms by which to easily communicate with students across these programs.
Plans and leads high-value onboarding experiences for new students.
Shapes development initiatives and an overall student experience that aligns with the Neeley brand and helps to differentiate the Neeley graduate experience for students across multiple programs. Explore and implement, as appropriate, student experience/development initiatives to include mentoring programs, professional development programs, coaching and similar offerings.
Identifies Class Reps, solicit, disseminate and responds to student feedback, and partner with colleagues to ensure that students receive the information, guidance, support and development they need.
Incorporates training and other developmental experiences to help students become strong team members and resolve issues related to team dynamics.
Coordinates with related career center teams to ensure that students are knowledgeable about how to leverage available career support resources.
Leads and manages all aspects of a portfolio of graduate student organizations, to include the election of student leaders, the development of strategic plans, budget allocations, and ensuring alignment between student organization activities and broader program objectives.
Recruits and manages graduate student leaders to help support and lead initiatives.
Works in partnership with Neeley's Director of Alumni Engagement and others to integrate opportunities for meaningful student/alumni engagement.
Supports Enrollment Management efforts by supporting the Graduate Recruiting and Admissions team in the implementation of processes, events and related experiences that align with the School's strategic vision to maximize enrollment management for all Neeley Graduate Programs.
Serves as the primary point of contact for deposited incoming students, providing clear and helpful communications regarding key dates and expectations.
Exercises strong financial management by ensuring sound fiscal management by determining fiscal requirements and prepares and manages budgets for student services. Manages contracts, payments, financial tracking, and financial controls associated with internal and external events and supplier activities (including catering, leadership development consulting and coaching resources, and external venues).
Provides leadership and supervision for two direct reports by allocating responsibilities to ensure that students across a diverse portfolio of graduate programs are supported from a student experience perspective, and providing coaching and development to maximize the effectiveness and engagement of direct reports.

Essential Duties

Execute a best-practice customer service approach, working proficiently with the Slate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and collaborating with colleagues to ensure full life cycle management of each lead.

Monitor lead activity to provide timely response to individual inquiries and initiate proactive outreach to prospective students; develop and implement effective personal strategies for lead nurturing and pipeline management.

Work closely with faculty program directors, Academic Services and other key offices to develop an understanding of the program, prerequisites, admissions criteria, and related trends; demonstrate and reflect an understanding of and commitment to Bentley's mission and core values.

Evaluate candidates based on a portfolio of educational, professional, and personal experience evidenced by submitted materials, interviews, and interactions to make decisions regarding admission, scholarship awards, and credit evaluation

Advise prospective students on program offerings and requirements, admission standards and procedures, and the Bentley graduate student experience using a customer-focused approach.

Represent the Graduate School, promote its programs, and actively engage prospects at fairs, conferences, school visits, and other off-campus events; plan and host appointments, info sessions, campus tours, webinars, and other activities for prospective students.

Aggressively and proactively monitor and adjust progress toward individual goals in an effort to achieve team goals through efficient time-management, pipeline management, and the application of sound judgement in prioritizing activities.

Collaborate with other offices to engage and nurture relationships and to communicate information about financial aid, social/community opportunities, advising and registration processes, and career services.

Other Duties

Participate in the planning and execution of strategies to engage prospective students; develop and maintain mutually beneficial partner relationships, internally and externally.

Participate in continuous evaluation and improvement of admission strategies, policies, and processes in support of graduate enrollment management best practices.

Participate in the evaluation and improvement of the admissions systems, business processes, and data reporting structures.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to meet changing business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.

At least 1 year of experience in sales or related field with a demonstrated track record of success in meeting or exceeding targets.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to write and speak professionally and persuasively and to engage diverse audiences through both group presentations and individual consultations; fluency in English.

A record of highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented accomplishments with respect to both individual and team goals.

Demonstrated aptitude for leveraging technology in the recruitment and enrollment process.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to exercise sound judgement in a fast-paced customer service environment.

Current and valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of admissions experience at the graduate level.

Experience evaluating international transcripts.

Strong project management and time management skills in a team environment.

Experience working with Slate or similar CRM.

Fluency in at least one additional language that is prominent in Bentley's international market.

Work Environment

This position requires evening and weekend work and may involve domestic and international travel in order to conduct recruitment activities.

Recruitment activities may require several hours of travel by plane and/or car, loading, unloading, and carrying materials and supplies, and standing for long periods.

This position may require frequent prolonged periods of screen time for computer work and virtual meetings/events.
