Richland Country Club, located in Nashville, TN, is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join their Golf and Grounds Maintenance team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a fully renovated course, a committed staff, and a supportive membership. The successful candidate will acclimate quickly to the crew and culture, while helping maintain the highest standards of course conditions and service.

2021/2022 complete course renovation
30,000 annual rounds
18 full-time staff in season
Toro Lynx irrigation system
4-year John Deere equipment lease (new lease begins November 2025)
Warm-season turf varieties including TifEagle Greens, Zorro Tees & Fairways, TifGrand Collars, and TifTuf Rough
Typical work schedule: Every other weekend; overtime in season
Future projects: Renovation of maintenance facility

INITIAL PRIORITIES OF POSITION:
Acclimate to the crew and membership culture
Become familiar with the course and grounds
Support daily operations to maintain course conditions at a high standard
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND APTITUDE:
Assist in planning and executing daily course maintenance operations
Supervise and train staff in proper turf care practices
Operate and maintain irrigation systems and golf course equipment
Support Director of Golf and Grounds Maintenance in all agronomic programs
Promote safety, efficiency, and attention to detail within the team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field (preferred)
4–7 years of relevant experience (more experience may offset education requirement)
Knowledge of warm-season turf management practices
Leadership experience in golf course maintenance
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Salary: $70,000–$90,000
