The Regional Sales Manager – East Coast Region will be responsible for leading all commercial operations within the region, with direct accountability for driving growth across key markets and managing a regional sales team. This role focuses on achieving sales growth, expanding market presence, and developing new business opportunities for the company’s abrasives product line. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams and external supplier partners to ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in industrial sales and a track record of leading successful sales teams. They excel at building strong distributor and end‑user relationships while developing and executing strategic sales plans that deliver measurable growth across manufacturing, metalworking, construction, and related industries.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals for the abrasive's product line.
Manage and grow relationships with distributors, channel partners, and key accounts in the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
Execute cost management, volume optimization, and profit growth.
Identify new business opportunities in metal fabrication, automotive, construction, woodworking, and other abrasive‑intensive industries.
Provide technical support and product training to customers and distributors, ensuring proper application of abrasive solutions.
Collaborate with marketing and tech services to introduce new products, run promotions, and support brand awareness.
Lead, mentor, and develop a regional sales team to achieve performance objectives.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer demands to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and distribution agreements in line with company policies and profitability objectives.
Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for senior leadership.
Represent the company at trade shows, customer visits, and industry events in the abrasives and manufacturing sectors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related fields.
5–7 years of proven sales experience in the abrasives industry or closely related industrial products.
3+ years of leadership or team management experience.
Strong technical knowledge of industrial processes, abrasive products, and applications.
Established network of contacts in the manufacturing, construction, or metalworking industries in Territory.
Proven ability to control cost, balance volume, and maximize profits.
Strong negotiation, problem‑solving, and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
