West Coast Sales Manager
to drive growth across the western U.S. public transit, coach, and rail markets.
If you have deep transit relationships, strong technical sales skills, and want to represent innovative, mission‑critical safety technology, we want to talk.
What You’ll Do
Own sales growth across the western U.S. region, targeting transit agencies, OEMs, and fleet operators.
Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, presentations, proposals, and closing.
Conduct onsite demos and technical discussions for fire detection and onboard communication systems.
Build and strengthen relationships with maintenance, safety, procurement, and engineering leaders.
Identify new opportunities and emerging markets in public transit and specialty fleets.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to deliver customer‑focused solutions.
Represent Troman Industries at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of transit industry experience
(public transit, bus OEM, rail, or onboard systems).
Proven success in B2B technical sales, ideally in safety systems, telematics, electronics, or onboard technology.
Strong existing relationships with West Coast transit agencies (highly preferred).
Ability to explain technical products to both engineering and non‑technical audiences.
High‑energy, self‑directed, organized, and comfortable in a remote role.
Must reside on the West Coast and be willing to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Experience
Selling fire detection, thermal sensing, onboard communication, or vehicle safety systems.
Work with integrators, OEMs, and fleet engineering teams.
Knowledge of FTA standards, NFPA 130, or transit safety regulations.
