West Coast Sales Representative – Cryogenic Freezers
IC Biomedical is seeking an experienced and highly motivated West Coast Sales Representative to drive growth for our portfolio of cryogenic freezers and cold storage solutions. This role focuses on building strong relationships with regional distributors while actively engaging end users in biorepository operations and sample management environments across the life science, medical research, and biotechnology markets. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with deep industry experience, strong technical aptitude, and a passion for growing revenue through hands‑on field engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead sales efforts across the Western U.S., managing all distributor relationships to drive incremental revenue and expand market presence.
Travel a minimum of 50% to conduct joint sales visits, product demonstrations, training sessions, and business planning with distribution partners.
Prospect, network, and engage directly with end users in biorepositories, biobanks, cell and gene therapy labs, and long‑term sample storage facilities to promote IC Biomedical products and generate demand.
Develop territory strategies to increase product visibility, strengthen competitive positioning, and accelerate sales growth.
Support distributors with technical expertise, pricing guidance, and product positioning to ensure successful opportunity development.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to expand professional networks and identify growth opportunities.
Maintain accurate and timely CRM documentation, including pipeline updates, visit reports, forecasting, and customer account details.
Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, customer service, and engineering to address customer needs and support business objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum 5–7 years of experience selling cold storage solutions or capital equipment within life science, medical research, biobanking, or biorepository operations.
Demonstrated success managing a multi‑state territory and working closely with distributors to grow sales.
Strong understanding of biorepository workflows, sample management needs, cryogenic storage practices, or related laboratory processes.
Proven ability to prospect and build relationships with end users, from biorepository managers to lab directors, principal investigators, and procurement teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Self‑motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently in a field‑based role.
CRM proficiency and commitment to documentation compliance.
Ability to travel 50%+ across the Western U.S.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, Marketing and/or related experience
Minimum of 5 years proven sales record
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
Proven success in managing accounts
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow‑through
