The
Customer Account Manager
(Sales Account Manager) handles all inside sales functions, including inbound/outbound telephone calls, processing of sales documents, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Preferred Experience
Prior automotive parts knowledge and previous sales experience preferred.
Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication and telephone skills.
Ability to communicate on the phone 90% or more of shift.
Understanding of customer’s current needs and ability to anticipate future requirements.
Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Extensive computer use; experience with Microsoft Windows preferred.
Excellent negotiating abilities.

Duties
Handles high volume of telephone calls, taking orders and closing sales.
Sources new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow‑up and outbound cold calls.
Processes all calls with efficiency and accuracy, keeps digital notes, verifies orders before entry.
Ensures accounts are serviced per company standards.
Recognizes customer buying patterns and promotes new product lines.
Maintains regular contact with key accounts and prospects to build sales.
Investigates and resolves customer issues professionally.
Meets or exceeds sales goals.
Stays current on product knowledge and trends.
Travel may be required as directed by supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
