Meyer Distributing is a complete wholesale distributor serving the automotive, RV/towing, outdoor living, marine, and more industries with 85+ locations across the country.
As part of the Jasper team, the Sales Account Manager is responsible for all inside sales functions, including inbound/outbound calls, processing sales documents, and representing the company with professional customer service.
Responsibilities
Handles a high volume of telephone calls per day, taking orders and closing sales.
Sources new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow‑up and outbound cold calls.
Processes all calls with efficiency and accuracy, verifies orders, and enters them into the computer system.
Ensures accounts are serviced and maintained in accordance with company standards.
Recognizes customer buying patterns and promotes new product lines.
Regularly contacts key accounts and prospects to build and maintain relationships.
Investigates and resolves customer issues professionally and efficiently.
Meets or exceeds sales goals.
Stays current on product knowledge and industry trends.
Performs some travel as directed.
Completes any other assigned duties.
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication and telephone skills.
Ability to communicate on the phone 90% or more of the shift.
Understanding of customer needs and ability to anticipate future requirements.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and multi‑tasking skills.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Extensive use of computer; experience with Microsoft Windows preferred.
Excellent negotiating abilities.
Entry‑level salespeople with solid customer service experience encouraged to apply.
Prior knowledge of automotive parts a plus.
