Job Description Summary You will be a sales professional focused on small to mid‑size new or existing client accounts. You will drive new business and up‑sell opportunities to achieve sales and profitability objectives within your assigned territory. Effective communication with C‑level executives and business owners is essential. You will develop strong account relationships, create compelling business cases, and negotiate contracts that close agreements and grow the business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, drive and monitor sales targets for assigned accounts.
Generate strong desire among targeted business accounts to partner with BD across multiple solutions.
Act as the liaison between targeted accounts and BD’s cross‑functional teams.
Serve as an industry expert on our solutions and the market to add value during C‑level executive engagements.
Negotiate contracts and close agreements to drive new business growth.
Learn and effectively use our sales process.
Provide subject‑matter expertise on our hardware and software solutions.
Develop and maintain account plans for top‑5 targets that include short, mid and long‑term strategic plans.
Track all activity in our sales CRM system.
Create compelling business cases and present ROI to CPOs, CFOs/CIOs, CMOs, CEOs or Business Owners.
Complete and update quarterly Sales Territory Plan.
About you
Bachelor’s degree required.
Proven experience in developing targeted new account development.
Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
Excellent communication, team‑management, analytical and negotiation skills.
Business acumen with a problem‑solving attitude.
Demonstrated experience working with CEOs, CFOs, CMOs, CIOs or Business Owners.
5+ years of targeted new account development experience in a complex selling environment.
Capital equipment sales experience and selling to health systems or healthcare preferred.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Experience in pharmacy automation sales is a plus.
50% travel required.
Must possess and maintain a valid state‑issued driver’s license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and meet BD’s auto safety standards.
Compensation Base: $133,900 – $240,000+; Additional incentive included.
Work environment We require a minimum of 4 days of in‑office presence per week for most roles, with flexibility for remote or field‑based arrangements as indicated in the posting.
Employment is contingent upon COVID‑19 vaccination status Proof of full vaccination against COVID‑19 is required as per BD policy.
