For this role, effective communication skills with C‑level executives and business owners are essential. As a sales professional you should be results‑driven with the ability to help BD achieve its business goals within new or existing client accounts. You will be responsible for achieving sales and profitability objectives by driving new business or upsell opportunities within our existing client base and developing new account relationships in your territory.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, drive and monitor sales targets by assigned target accounts.

Generate strong desire among target business accounts to establish a business relationship with BD across multiple solutions.

Act as the liaison between your target accounts and BD’s cross‑functional teams.

Serve as an industry expert on BD’s solutions and the market to add value during C‑level engagements.

Negotiate contracts and close agreements to drive new business growth.

Learn and effectively use BD’s sales process.

Serve as a subject‑matter expert on BD’s hardware and software solutions.

Develop and maintain account plans for top‑5 targets, including short‑, mid‑ and long‑term strategic plans.

Track all activity in BD’s sales CRM system.

Create compelling business cases and present ROI to C‑level owners (CPO, CFO, CIO, CMO, CEO).

Complete and update quarterly Sales Territory Plan.

About You

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Proven experience in targeted new account development (5+ years).

Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (Excel).

Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.

Excellent communication, negotiation and team‑management skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving attitude.

Demonstrated success working with C‑level executives.

Capital equipment sales experience in a complex selling environment preferred; pharmacy automation sales a plus.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

50% travel required.

Valid state‑issued driver’s license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and compliance with BD auto safety standards.

Salary ranges are based on experience, education, skills and location. The current base salary range for this role is $133,900 – $240,000+ plus incentive.

BD requires a minimum of 4 days of on‑site presence per week for most roles, but remote or field‑based arrangements may apply and are indicated in the posting.
