As the Sales Manager for Off Campus Partners, you will lead a team focused on driving growth and delivering exceptional service within the student housing sector. The Sales Manager is responsible for growing and developing the team’s revenues by selling new advertising and information subscriptions to new student housing customers, as well as growing existing customer revenues by up‑selling and cross‑selling additional CoStar services. The Sales Manager ensures high levels of customer service and strong renewal rates. This role manages a team focused on expanding both new and existing student housing business, driving product usage and adoption, preventing account reversals, managing key accounts, and consistently delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

Perform complex tasks involving the coaching, counseling, and leading of the Off Campus Partners sales team.

Ensure adherence to established procedures and guidelines.

Collaborate with Apartments.com and other internal teams to deliver integrated solutions and maximize client value.

Ensure that all team members and the overall team achieve all assigned revenue goals.

Provide feedback to management and recommend changes and modifications to established procedures and guidelines.

Serve as liaison between training, sales management, field sales, mid‑market sales teams, and other sales support functions.

Ensure frontline sales results.

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction ratings.

Develop and communicate annual sales plans in support of the organizational strategy and objectives.

Manage the identification, prioritization, and winning of new student housing client relationships, as well as the retention and growth of current clients, while getting to know all assigned markets and territories.

Travel is a key component of this position and candidates should prepare to spend 30‑40% of their time traveling to universities and conferences in the regions they support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (For External Applicants)

Three or more years of recent successful experience in a high‑transaction sales environment while meeting and exceeding quota.

Three or more years of experience mentoring, coaching, or managing teams of sales professionals.

Experience participating in building and hiring of a sales team.

Proficiency in Excel.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Strong and proven track record of successfully mentoring and coaching sales teams to achieve their greatest potential.

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Communications, or Marketing from an accredited, not‑for‑profit in‑person university or college.

A track record of commitment to prior employers.

Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (For Internal Applicants)

Two or more years of experience in a high‑transaction sales environment while meeting and exceeding quota.

Six or more months of hitting performance standards and net sales goals.

Proficiency in Excel.

Experience in mentoring, coaching, and development of peers.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

Student housing, multifamily, or higher education experience preferred, but not required.

Proven presentation and demonstration skills using web‑based meeting applications like WebEx, Go‑To‑Meeting, etc.

Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals and quotas in a high‑transaction environment.

Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high‑growth company.
