Property Management Assistant
Weitzman is the most respected provider of retail real estate services in Texas. Our team provides a full range of services including general brokerage, property management, asset management and development services. We operate exclusively in Texas' major markets: Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio. Weitzman is recruiting for a Property Management Assistant in our Houston office, which is located in the Galleria area. Responsibilities: Assist multiple Property Managers with a full range of duties related to the property management of retail shopping center portfolios Field tenant phone calls and handle issues within set guidelines Prepare correspondence and documents for manager's review Respond to service calls from tenants, arrange service, create work orders and assure work is complete Track and review Lease Commencement Agreements Assist with the administration of service contracts and purchase orders Prepare monthly reports for review and distribution Assist with the preparation of budgets Responsible for obtaining estoppel letters Assist property managers with rent and sales collection efforts Research leases, invoices, and contracts Front desk/phone coverage (rotation only) Other assignments as needed Qualifications: Previous experience in commercial real estate property management department Ability to interpret and fully understand leases and related documents Strong customer service skills Exceptional administrative skills with experience supporting multiple individuals Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong general computer skills with intermediate level or above knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook An understanding of basic accounting principles Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines in an extremely fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of work and professional demeanor Flexible regarding changing priorities Dependable with a strong work ethic MRI experience preferred, but not required Benefits: Competitive compensation Company holidays and generous PTO Employer paid life insurance and long-term disability coverage Medical, vision, and dental insurance Health Savings (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401k match Tuition reimbursement Referral bonus program Learning and development classes WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER. #WZT123
