A day in the life of a Construction Foreman:
At Samaritan's Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff, and volunteers who serve around the globe.
In the role of a
Construction Foreman
you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
Partner with the Project Superintendent, Volunteer Coordinators, and Logistics Coordinators to design and construct homes that bring hope to the affected community.
Engage with on-site volunteer teams, providing hands‑on training and support. Guide team members to ensure they understand their roles and empower them to contribute effectively to the construction process.
Uphold the highest quality standards by meticulously overseeing project progress, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines, and maintaining exceptional craftsmanship.
Lead safety training sessions for all team members on‑site, fostering a culture of safety and ensuring that every task is performed with care and adherence to safety protocols.
Safeguard all materials and equipment at job sites by maintaining strict inventory control and enforcing security measures to prevent loss or damage.
Conduct thorough inspections of all projects to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws and codes, while effectively communicating and ministering to volunteers and partners about progress and needs.
Review and streamline the project paperwork alongside Volunteer and Logistics Coordinators and the Project Superintendent, ensuring transparency and clarity in operations.
One‑year certificate from a college or technical school and two (2) to four (4) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with all aspects of residential home construction, from layout and foundation work to final inspection, is required.
Thorough knowledge of the construction industry and processes
Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints
Highly effective communication skills

Travel Expectations:
Travel within the local area of the Rebuild sites
Pay Range:
$65,137 - $81,400/year
