Overview
We are seeking a versatile, experienced Content & Marketing Specialist to support multiple brands under the James Patrick umbrella, including James Patrick Photography, The Hive Studios, and Lumedia Creative. This contract role will involve creating, editing, and optimizing content across blogs, social media, email campaigns, and external publications, as well as contributing to marketing strategy and outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Email Marketing:
Draft and schedule newsletters and promotional emails
Social Media Management:
Develop compelling copy and manage posting across platforms.
Google My Business Updates:
Create and post content to maintain and grow online presence.
External Outreach:
Draft pitches to magazines, newspapers, podcasts, and other media opportunities as well as speaker applications and award nominations.
Editing & Proofreading:
Copyedit and proofread all written content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency.
Strategic Collaboration:
Participate in marketing strategy meetings, providing insights, recommendations, and creative solutions to achieve brand growth.
Qualifications
Proven experience in content creation, copywriting, and marketing for multiple platforms.
Strong SEO knowledge and ability to optimize content for search engines.
Exceptional written communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
Experience with email marketing, social media strategy, and content scheduling tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects across brands and meet deadlines consistently.
Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Experience in photography, creative services, and/or media industries.
Familiarity with Google My Business, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other digital marketing platforms.
Track record of successful media placements or content-driven lead generation.
Commitment Independent contract position with flexible hours.
