FAR INSPECTIONS . FAR Inspections is looking for highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors earn predictable full‑time or supplemental income and enjoy a flexible schedule. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required, but an ability to manage time and meet deadlines is crucial. Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5‑6 minutes. Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned. Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards. Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments. Complete a short form in a mobile application. Require extended periods of driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory. Requirements
Computer with an internet connection. Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus; you will be paying for your own gas). Smartphone (Android or iPhone). Printer. Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license. Pay & Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies based on county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you will earn the equivalent of $30‑$40 per hour. Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural, you will complete anywhere from 20 to 500 inspections per month, working 2‑30 hours per week. Location
