Job Summary FAR Inspections, located in Reno, NV, has been in business for over nine years. We perform property inspections on behalf of mortgage lenders. At present we are looking for motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications throughout the state.
What is an Occupancy Verification Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties. Our independent contractors conduct these inspections and use a mobile application to report on the general condition of the property, take photographs, and complete a short form.
Responsibilities
Complete most inspections in 5–6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within four days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Take nine or more photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Be able to spend extended periods driving while making numerous stops during the day within the assigned territory.
Requirements
Computer with an internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus as gas is paid by the contractor).
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license.
Pay and Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Pay varies based on county and volume, but the typical equivalent is $30–$40 per hour. Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural, you may complete anywhere from 20 to 500 inspections per month working 2–30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties have higher rates; higher‑volume counties have lower rates. There is no set minimum number of inspections per month, but work is consistent month‑to‑month. Greater availability or covering a larger territory can increase earnings. No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
