Maintenance Technician / Facilities Maintenance Technician

Base pay range $25.00/hr – $30.00/hr
Position Overview Pacificare Health Management is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support ongoing maintenance, repairs, and small renovation projects across eight nursing home facilities. This role requires hands‑on experience across multiple trades and the ability to work independently or alongside vendors and internal teams as needed.
Key Responsibilities
General maintenance and repair tasks across facilities
Drywall repair, patching, texturing, and painting
Basic framing, carpentry, baseboards, trim, and LVT flooring installation
Basic electrical work: outlets, switches, thermostats, light fixtures, junction boxes
Basic plumbing: toilets, faucets, P‑traps, drain snaking, minor leak repairs
Minor roofing patching and exterior sealing
Assist with inspections, room turnovers, and compliance‑related repairs
Must be able to lift at least 45 lbs.
Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., immediately.
Ensure work/assignment areas are clean and tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored and that areas are left clean on breaks, at the end of the workday, etc.
Assist
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years experience in facility maintenance or property management
Strong working knowledge of multiple trades
Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must have standard tools and equipment for projects
Preferred: Experience in skilled nursing, healthcare, or assisted living facilities
Preferred: Experience in commercial real‑estate maintenance
Preferred: OSHA 10/30 certification
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $25–$30 per hour depending on experience
Reimbursed travel and phone
Benefits
Full‑time employees will be eligible for benefits following a 60‑day eligibility period
Medical – company will contribute up to 75% of the lowest offered benefit plan for Employee Only; dependents added to the plan will be at full cost.
