Under the direction of Human Resources Manager, the Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing and executing core HR functions across the employee lifecycle. This role partners closely with leadership and employees to support a positive workplace culture, ensure compliance with labor laws, and drive Human Capital initiatives that align with organizational goals. The Senior HR Generalist serves as a trusted advisor, handling complex employee relations matters and mentoring junior HR staff when applicable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Partner with business leaders to understand business needs and develop and execute Human Capital strategies that drive organizational performance and growth.

Collaborate with regional Human Capital Shared Services in continuous improvement of the talent acquisition program; develop and implement new strategies to attract and retain top talent in the local market.

Oversee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth employee experience.

Advise leaders on performance management and disciplinary actions.

Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management in resolving workplace challenges.

Foster a productive, positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes our strategic goal of Employer and Neighbor of Choice through Systemair Community Cares.

Support organizational change initiatives through communication and employee engagement.

Collaborate with Human Capital team and leadership to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.

Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

Support Human Capital Shared Services weekly payroll efforts.

Administer leave management and benefit administration programs.

Support wellness initiatives, safety, and workers compensation for a safe and healthy workplace.

Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making.

Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Mentor or guide HR coordinators or junior team members as needed.

Skills, Education & Experience The following are education and experience criteria used to evaluate the suitability of the Senior Human Resources Generalist profile or candidates for the position.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration required (5+ years of progressive HR experience).

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred.

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Required Competencies

Demonstrated experience in coaching leaders and managing complex employee relations matters.

Strong business acumen and ability to influence leadership.

Interpret data to inform HR strategies and problem solving.

Proficient knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in HRIS and LMS. Paylocity and Dayforce preferred.

Job Conditions Work Environment

The work environment is in an office setting, located within a manufacturing factory and warehouse.

This position is based in a professional office setting. The role requires regular use of computer software and enterprise systems, handling confidential information, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

When on the factory floor, you will encounter a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, moderate noise levels, and varying temperatures. The environment requires adherence to strict safety protocols.
