MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer II to join our team in Crane, Indiana . This is an onsite position. As a core member, you will assist in research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of Navy and Marine Corps programs with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will dramatically increase the warfighter’s effectiveness. Responsibilities
Design and implement complex network solutions that drive innovation
Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve advanced network issues quickly and efficiently
Optimize network performance and security to meet the highest standards
Mentor junior network engineers, sharing expertise and fostering growth
Participate in strategic planning to shape the future of our network infrastructure
Provide technical expertise in the management of public and/or private networks such as IP networks, WANs, and PSTN
Plan, design, install, maintain, monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, modify, and support network communications systems to provide maximum performance and availability
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent education; years of experience may substitute for the degree
5+ years of experience in network engineering
In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and VLANs
Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS
Experience in multi-level security networks including cross-domain solutions
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications such as CCNP or equivalent
Master’s degree
Knowledge of automation and scripting tools such as Python or Ansible
Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V
Project management skills to lead initiatives from start to finish
Ability to work independently and take ownership of critical projects
Clearance Requirements
Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance
Physical Requirements
Position requires remaining in a stationary position 50% of the time
Occasional movement within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co‑workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual communication, possibly delivering presentations
