Office Dean of Students
at Georgia State University is seeking to hire an
Administrative Specialist (Temp).

WHAT WILL YOU DO: This position serves as a liaison between the office and the university community; and develops and recommends policies and procedures relating to student success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Assists with the management of the Office of the Dean of Students database system, including data entry, archiving records, and making adjustment based on the office’s needs.
Provides advice and recommendations to students concerning policies and operational matters/issues.
Monitors and facilitates compliance with and communicates university policies and procedures to internal and external customers.
Coordinates and develops reports and grant applications; assists in strategic planning and goal setting activities.
Maintains office supplies and assists with budget maintenance.
Supervises student assistants.
Schedules appointment for Office of the Dean of Students staff. Performs light typing duties as assigned. Opens, date stamps, delivers/organizes incoming mail; prepares outgoing mail.
Assists department members with special projects.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and two years administrative experience; or high school diploma or GED and six years administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
