Operates a single, tandem, or multi-axle configuration truck for delivery and/or pickup of agronomy, energy or turf products following specified time schedules to/from company locations or customer locations. Undertakes daily safety checks of assigned vehicles and equipment (pre-trip inspections) and follows the preventative maintenance program; maintains a clean vehicle to present a professional appearance. Loads and unloads containers, pallets, or materials safely on trucks, trailers, or railcars by hand or forklift; ensures loads are balanced and compliant with DOT regulations. Delivers and picks up products in accordance with time schedules and promotes superior customer service and professionalism. Completes documentation such as bills of lading, delivery slips, and invoices accurately and submits them to the branch location to ensure timely processing. Maintains necessary paperwork including accurate logbooks, records of cargo, and other required records daily. Maintains company equipment per standards, adheres to the Uniform Policy, and upholds a professional image. Warehouse duties during slow times; performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2+ years of related experience operating tractor trailer or tender truck equipment to meet company and DOT standards. Demonstrates abilities in business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development. Must have and maintain a CDL license with required endorsements, valid medical card, and satisfactory driving record; must obtain and maintain other applicable certifications, licenses, and permits as applicable.
