Child Support Specialist IV -H30D Annual Salary:$48,970.06 + Full State Employee Benefits
Job-related travel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
Education and Experience Child Support Specialist IV:
Requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional child support enforcement, accounting, legal, or social work for each year of the required education; plus three (3) additional years of professional experience in child support enforcement; accounting, legal,social workor supervision of professional-level employees.
OR
a master’s degree; or a Juris doctorate degree, plus two (2) additional years of professional experience in child support enforcement; accounting, legal,social workor supervision of professional-level employees
OR
an associate’s degree in Legal Assistance or a closely related program of paralegal education and four (4) years of qualifying experience; or an associate’s degree in Public Service – Legal Case Management and four (4) years of qualifying experience; or completion of an American Bar Association approved paralegal education program and four (4) years of qualifying experience;
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required bachelor’s degree.
Job responsibilities:
This is the supervisory level.
Will supervise lower level CSS staff
Mentor CSS III by providing case consultation, advising, and training of child support casework and interpretation of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Duties may include preparation of the weekly district court and administrative dockets, time/leave issues, assigning caseload, and ensuring compliance with child support laws.
