Job Description Perform breathing treatments on residents that have been prescribed, provide appropriate documentation before and after breathing treatments, document in the MAR and EMRs at the facility, assess residents breathing treatments and make recommendations regarding continuation, altering, or discontinuing of breathing treatments, and educate nursing staff, PT, OT, and SLPs on signs and symptoms of respiratory issues that could arise in residents.
Responsibilities
Perform breathing treatments as prescribed.
Document treatments before and after in the MAR and EMRs.
Assess and recommend adjustments to breathing treatments.
Educate nursing staff, PT, OT, and SLPs regarding respiratory issues.
Requirements
PRN – available for 5-8 hour shifts.
TN Respiratory Therapist certification; CRT or RRT.
