Oneida Health is currently seeking a

full-time Registered Nurse (RN)

to work mid shift in our Hospital Emergency Department (ER). This position is responsible for coordinating patient care and performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills. You will supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff and report to a supervisory-level nursing position. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as part of a team while remaining calm in a high‑pressure environment.

Salary and Benefits

Nurses' Union Pay Scale: $36.37 - $53.61/hour

Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 if 3 or more years of experience; $5,000 if less than 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Identify what patients need and provide care.

Work as a team player and supervise nursing personnel that report to you.

Maintain neat records and prepare reports in a timely manner.

Maintain a clean and healthy environment for patients and staff in accordance with quality standards.

Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Have a customer‑service attitude when interacting with patients and families.

Use superb organizational skills for supplies and equipment.

Remain calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations.

Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills for electronic records management systems.

Qualifications

Education:

Associate of Nursing (Required)

Bachelor’s of Nursing (Preferred)

License:

New York RN (Required)

Certifications:

BLS (Preferred)

Experience:

2 years (Preferred)

Emergency Department experience (Preferred)
