Job Overview A respected hospital in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time night shift contract. This role requires strong clinical competency across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics, within a fast-paced inpatient environment. You’ll support high-acuity respiratory needs and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellent patient care.

Responsibilities Include:
Provide respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
Manage ventilators, airway support, and oxygen therapy
Perform ABGs, respiratory assessments, and pulmonary diagnostic procedures
Respond to rapid response and code situationsDocument all assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR
Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
Follow hospital protocols, patient safety guidelines, and infection control standards
Qualifications:
Active NC or Compact State Respiratory Therapy license (required)
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (required)
ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
Minimum 5 years of inpatient respiratory therapy experience (required)
Experience supporting neonates through geriatric populations
Ability to manage 1:30 ratios in a high-volume acute care unit
