Responsible for advanced cash processing duties: resolving research requests, completion of NSF reversals, processes the Term Loan Modifications, and fund forwarding. Handles default exception processing including repayments, foreclosures and bankruptcy posting. Ensures proper application of all incoming payments through the various payment options established by the company. This will include ACH payments, wires, lockbox payments, online payments, and manually posted payments. The cashiering area will also be responsible for establishing bi-weekly payments and processing loan payoffs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Resolve research requests to the Cashiering department
Complete return item reversals
Process Term Modifications
Forward servicing released items and returns to borrowers
Process default payments and payoffs
Complete daily balancing
Process necessary wire transfers
Receive and sort daily mail
Receive and sort daily system reports
Process payments for all loan types
Responsible for processing rewrites, cram downs, change in terms agreements, subordinations and bankruptcies.
Responsible for performing incoming maintenance request for due date changes, setting up automated clearing house payment, extension processing and address changes
Balance Western Union reports
Balance money gram reports
Handle lock box rejects if applicable
Other duties as assigned.
Performance Expectations:
Perform all actions in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Convictions of EHL.
Provide a “WOW” experience and effectively communicate with associates, clients, partners, and vendors via phone, written communication and/or in person.
Seek Feedback: Host regular and timely communication with associates and Manager.
Be willing to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise.
Have strong organization skills, the ability to learn quickly, and accuracy/timeliness in completing tasks.
Perform all actions in accordance with policies and procedures of the company.
Expected to meet productivity guidelines of the position.
Effectively use software specific for the position and Microsoft office products.
Work well with other members of the EHL team and be willing to fill in when needed.
Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:
High School Diploma or GED required
1-3 years background in a financial institution, specifically loan servicing
Cashiering experience preferred
Experience with Black Knight/MSP servicing software a plus
Working knowledge of titles for all 50 states
Must be comfortable working in a start-up dynamic environment
Exercise good judgment and strong character, motivated, hard working.
Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients and vendors.
Good communication skills. Neat, clean, healthy work habits.
Physical Requirements:
Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout the shift, which may include extended periods of sitting and/or standing. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, twist, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to speak and hear, lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.) or occasionally more.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy environment.
May be required to drive for business purposes and if so, must hold a driver’s license in good standing and maintain personal auto insurance in compliance with EHL’s Auto Insurance policy.
