Job Overview
This position is a Processing Line Worker in a Food Processing (Eggs) company. Under the direction of the Processing Supervisor, the role performs various tasks ensuring the highest quality product possible. Starting rate: $17.00 Incremental increases are earned through developing skills and qualifications. Key Responsibilities
Food Safety and Food Quality
Perform all functions of the position with strict adherence to all HACCP, SQF, cGMP’s, and regulatory protocols. Follow food safety principles. Ensure that products and materials are handled and stored to prevent damage or contamination. Examine product to verify conformance to quality standards. Maintain compliance with personnel and process hygiene requirements.
Operations
Grade and align eggs entering the washer section. Provide smooth transition of eggs from main conveyor to accumulating station. Keep area clean and manage inedible or broken eggs, dumping into auger. Clean washer screens. Perform chemical checks, foam control in washers and rewash eggs back into flow. Grade eggs from washers per SOP. Provide smooth transition from transfer room to breaking machine. Assist during breaks and cleanup. Grade broken eggs, removing bad or blood spots, and shells from cups. Perform cleanup duties meeting USDA standards in Breaking, Transfer, and Shell rooms after shift.
Qualifications

Experience in food manufacturing or processing desirable. Knowledge of safety programs and processes such as confined space, LOTO, HazCom, etc. Equipment operation. Physical Demands
Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work Environment
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, water, and chemicals. Temperature is regulated for operational standards. Cooler temperatures occur in specific areas. Noise level is usually moderate. Proper personal protective equipment will be required during certain working conditions. Employees must comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) due to working in a food manufacturing environment (hairnets, clean clothes, etc.). Seniority level
