Summary
This position is a Processing Line Worker in a Food Processing (Eggs) company. Under the direction of the Processing Supervisor, this position performs various tasks to ensure the highest quality product possible. Key Responsibilities
Food Safety and Food Quality
Perform all functions with strict adherence to HACCP, SQF, cGMP, and regulatory protocols. Follow food safety principles. Ensure products and materials handled/storage prevent damage or contamination. Examine product to verify conformance to quality standards. Maintain compliance with personnel and process hygiene requirements.
Operations
Grade and align eggs entering the washer section. Provide smooth transition of eggs from main egg belt conveyor to the accumulating station. Keep area clean, track inedible, dump inedible into auger. Clean washer screens. Perform chemical checks, foam control in washers and rewash eggs back into egg flow. Grade eggs from the washers per SOP. Provide smooth transition of eggs from transfer room to breaking machine. Keep area clean. Assist as needed during breaks and clean up. Grade broken eggs from the breaking machine removing bad or blood spot eggs and shells from cups. Perform clean up duties meeting USDA standards in Breaking, Transfer, and Shell rooms after production shift has ended.
Qualifications
Experience in Food Manufacturing or Processing desirable. Knowledge of safety programs and processes such as Confined Space, LOTO, Hazcom, etc. Equipment operation experience. Physical Demands
Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work Environment
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and water, chemicals. Temperature regulated; cooler temperatures in specific areas. Moderate noise level. PPE required during certain conditions.
