Line Worker – Daybreak Foods, Inc. Starting rate: $17.00 per hour. Incremental increases earned through skill development.

Summary This position is a Processing Line Worker in a Food Processing (Eggs) company. Under the direction of the Processing Supervisor, the role performs various tasks to ensure the highest quality product possible.

Key Responsibilities

Food Safety and Food Quality

Perform all functions with strict adherence to HACCP, SQF, cGMP, and regulatory protocols.

Follow food safety principals.

Ensure proper handling, storage and prevent contamination.

Examine product to verify conformance to quality standards.

Maintain compliance with personnel and process hygiene requirements.

Operations

Grade and align eggs entering the washer section.

Ensure smooth transition from main egg belt conveyor to accumulative station.

Maintain cleanliness, track inedible eggs, dump into auger.

Clean washer screens.

Perform chemical checks, foam control in washers, re–wash eggs back into flow.

Grade eggs from washers per SOP.

Ensure smooth transition of eggs from transfer room to breaking machine.

Assist with breaks and clean up.

Grade broken eggs, remove bad or blood‑spot eggs and shells from cups.

Perform cleanup duties meeting USDA standards after shift.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Experience in Food Manufacturing or Processing desirable.

Experience with safety programs and processes (Confined Space, LOTO, Hazcom, etc.).

Equipment operation.

Physical Demands Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, water, chemicals, regulated temperatures, moderate noise level. Proper PPE required. Employees must comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) including hairnets, clean clothes, etc.
