What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Assist customers inside and outside the U-Haul center with products and services
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels
Prepare rental invoices and handle equipment returns
Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University
What is Required (Qualifications)
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
Willingness to work in environments with moderate risks or discomforts
Availability to use protective clothing or gear as required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Previous customer service experience in a retail or service environment
Familiarity with rental equipment and processes
Ability to drive a forklift (certification offered through employer upon employment)
Interest in ongoing education and skills development
Willingness to obtain certification for filling propane
