Overview
Established by Greenwood Communities and Resorts in 2000, The Reserve at Lake Keowee is a private waterfront golf community which sits along the shores of one of the most impressive lakes in the Southeast. Boasting over 18,000 acres of clean waters and some 300 miles of coastline, Lake Keowee is a wide bodied, picturesque lake encapsulated by the expansive foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was designed to harness the lake's natural beauty and resources in order to create the ultimate setting for the sports enthusiast and outdoor adventurer. For this reason, The Reserve is the ideal community for golfing, boating, fishing, water skiing, swimming, hiking, and exploring.
Jack Nicklaus placed his signature on The Reserve with a 7,112 yard masterpiece along the emerald waters of Lake Keowee with soaring views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As one of the most popular private golf communities in South Carolina, warmer winters and cooler summers are par for the course here. The 18-hole championship golf course is accompanied by a recently renovated, state-of-the-art 22-acre practice facility featuring a double-sided driving range, extensive short game areas, 18 hole putting course, and Par 3 course capability.
On Friday, September 4, 2020, the golf course reopened after an extensive renovation which included conversion of our bentgrass putting surfaces to a TifEagle bermudagrass in addition to complete reconstruction of all fairway and greenside bunkers with the new Better Billy Bunker liner system.
