Position Purpose
The Electrical/Controls Technician serves as the primary technical resource for electrical troubleshooting and controls diagnostics. This role is responsible for supporting, integrating, and maintaining all electrical, mechanical, controls, and fluid power systems to ensure safe, reliable operation of production equipment. The technician will execute root cause analyses for equipment and process failures, support ancillary equipment needs, and carry out directives from leadership to meet business and production requirements.

Functional Knowledge Requirements
Strong technical and process-focused expertise in single-phase and three-phase electrical systems (110VAC to 480VAC 3PH).
Functional knowledge of AC frequency drives, PLCs, and various electrical/electronic controls.
Capable of effective oral and written communication in English.
Certification in NFPA 70E required within two (2) months of hire.
Business Expertise
Minimum of ten (10) years of maintenance electrical troubleshooting experience.
In-depth technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, controls, and fluid power systems.
Ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation.
Problem Solving
Must be capable of independently resolving routine and recurring technical issues across equipment and systems.
Nature of Impact
Responsible for overall machine availability for key production lines at the Assumption GSI site.
Executes preventive maintenance programs for these production lines.
Ensures safety practices that support line operators, maintenance personnel, and equipment integrity.
Area of Impact
This position directly impacts the operational performance and uptime of the Assumption, IL facility.
Interpersonal Skills
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
Qualifications & Experience
Strong knowledge of NEC fundamentals.>
Ten (10) years of experience in electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and controls troubleshooting.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Technical degree (A.S. or B.S.) preferred.
NFPA 70E certification preferred.
LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) certification required.

Expected hourly pay for this role will be 19.51-41.31
