Survey CAD Technician
At Actalent, you will create a variety of survey-related drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, subdivision plats, dedications, easements, as-built surveys, and construction layout exhibits. You will work independently while collaborating with a diverse project team and maintain clear communication with project managers, field crews, and other stakeholders to ensure workflow efficiency and meet productivity targets.
Job Description Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete assignments promptly and in accordance with company drafting standards. Implement edits and revisions as requested by agencies, municipalities, and clients.
Responsibilities
Create detailed survey-related drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Implement revisions as requested by agencies, municipalities, and clients.
Collaborate with project managers, field crews, and other stakeholders.
Maintain clear communication to ensure workflow efficiency.
Work independently while contributing to the project team.
Essential Skills
3+ years of drafting experience in the surveying/engineering field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of land survey procedures and workflows.
Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with drafting in land development.
Reliable, dependable, and responsible.
Detail-oriented and able to maintain a varied workload.
Work Environment This position involves working 100% behind a computer performing Survey CAD drafts. You will work on 5-6 projects at a time in land development, primarily using AutoCAD Civil 3D. After training, you will have a hybrid work schedule with the opportunity to work from home two days a week.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Warrenville, IL.
Pay & Benefits Pay range: $34.00–$38.00/hr.
