Job Description AECOM is seeking a highly talented Marketing Proposal Specialist II to join our West Specialist Team and work in collaboration with the West Region business development and operations team on pursuits, including partnering in the preparation of formal and informal client solicitations, including expressions of interest (EOI), requests for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), and pre‑qualification efforts.

This will be a hybrid position that can be based in Dallas, Austin, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, or San Francisco.

Responsibilities

Assist with large proposals and lead small to medium proposals, supporting capture through to interview stage as required.

Coordinate content and information for qualifications and proposals, including schedule, templates, compliance, content plan, and production.

Provide conceptual leadership for document design, lay out proposals in InDesign, and perform high‑level editing. May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections for proposals.

Facilitate color review (Pink and Red team) reviews, apply lessons learned to add value to proposals, and manage implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams.

Participate in go/no‑go calls and meetings in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning, and positioning activities as they pertain to proposal preparation.

Complete internal debriefs for proposals led and review debriefs and client feedback to demonstrate continuous improvement.

Maintain a solid working knowledge of company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory).

Liaise with appropriate business line team, operations, technical, and business development professionals to support or develop marketing information, including case studies, project sheets, and capabilities summaries.

Provide guidance to entry‑level proposal team members.

Perform a self‑check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements:

BA/BS + 2 years of experience collaborating within a marketing team to lead and/or support proposal activity or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

A developed understanding of effective proposal and presentation writing and production.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry.

Detailed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.

Understanding of CRM Salesforce experience is a plus.

Initiative, skill, and personal commitment to manage multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks and projects to full completion.

Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.

Experience demonstrating leadership qualities.

Experience using AI and data analytics tools to analyze market and client trends.

Relocation assistance and/or per diem is not offered for this position.

Compensation USD 70,000 – USD 90,000 per year, based on education, qualifications, experience, and location.
