Job Description The Technical Sales BDM will be responsible for driving territory sales through technical product discussion with customers, collaborating with them to identify cross-sell opportunities and develop strategies to integrate exclusive brand products into their proposals. The role works as an internal manufacturer’s representative to generate demand and drive adoption of AV products, requiring excellent technical presentation skills, deep knowledge of Pro AV product lines, and the ability to meet with engineers, salespeople, owners, and C‑Suite personnel.
Job Duties
Work closely with regional ProAV sales teammates to drive business in your region, supporting local stores by coordinating engagement and training with customers.
Provide technical support to strategic brands and act as the technology subject matter expert, meeting with ProAV integrators to discuss product solutions.
Conduct proactive outreach and targeted selling efforts to promote AV products among existing customers.
Attend industry events to meet customers, discuss product solutions, and provide training.
Achieve sales targets, report on metrics, and identify new opportunities to hit targets.
Facilitate system designs with the internal design team and professional services teams.
Maintain effective internal communication with management regarding duties and responsibilities.
Consistently and accurately report metrics and track sales in management tools.
Quickly respond to customers’ needs and capture every sales opportunity.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in the technology or Audio Visual industry with strong client/executive relationship management abilities.
Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
Active and clean driver’s license.
