Independent contractors earn predictable, full‑time or supplemental income with a flexible schedule. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required; understanding how to manage time and meet deadlines is essential. Responsibilities
Complete most inspections in 5‑6 minutes. Finish each inspection within four days of assignment. Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards. Take nine or more photos of the property with brief comments. Fill out a short form in a mobile application. Spend extended periods driving and making multiple stops within the assigned territory. Qualifications
Computer with internet connection. Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus; you pay your own gas). Smartphone (Android or iPhone). Printer. Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license. Pay and Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume. You can expect to earn roughly
$30‑$40 per hour . Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural, you may complete anywhere from 20 to 500 inspections per month while working 2 to 30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates; higher volume counties have lower rates. Income increases as you become established, are available to inspect, or cover a larger territory. No mileage reimbursement is provided beyond the flat fee per inspection. Application Process
