Overview
FAR Inspections is seeking motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Contracts are 1099, offering flexible schedules and predictable full‑time or supplemental income. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required; strong time‑management and deadline‑meeting skills are essential. Responsibilities
Complete most inspections within 5‑6 minutes. Finish each inspection within four days of assignment. Assess general property conditions and determine occupancy using industry standards. Take nine or more photos with brief comments. Submit a short form in the mobile application. Drive extended periods within the assigned territory, stopping frequently. Qualifications
Computer with internet connection. Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus; you pay your own gas). Smartphone (Android or iPhone). Printer. Pass a standard background check with a valid driver’s license. Pay and Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume. While you are paid per inspection, the equivalent earnings are roughly $30‑$40 per hour. Depending on the county—urban or rural—you’ll conduct anywhere from 20 to 500 inspections per month, working 2 to 30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties offer higher rates, and higher‑volume counties offer lower rates. There is no set monthly inspection quota; work is consistent month to month.
