Overview
Originally opened in 1965 as a 9-hole tract designed by Texas Golf Hall of Fame Member Warren Cantrell, Yoakum County Golf Club is an 18-hole golf facility in Denver City, Texas. Yoakum County Golf Club provides the citizens of Denver City and the surrounding areas an amenity like no other. The facility includes a championship 18-hole course, practice range and multiple short game areas for practice and learning. The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of the golf operations and be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members and guests.
Experience Required The Assistant Golf Professional assists the Head Golf Professional in the management of day-to-day golf operations of the facility. The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for aiding with Clinics and Camps, helping with merchandise upkeep in the Golf Shop, and aiding with supervising and managing total golf operations. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all customers.
Registered PGA Associate, Level 1 or Higher
Relevant college experience in-lieu of PGA Enrollment will be considered
Actively pursue PGA Membership (if a PGA Associate) in a timely manner through the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGA PGM) Program
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer and social media skills
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Merchandising experience necessary, but not required.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide a visible, professional, and positive presence throughout the Club and Golf Operation
Aid & Lead in the administration of tournaments
Experience with Golf Genius software (Tournament Management, Golf Shop & Op36) preferred, but not required
Conduct Golf Lessons & Clinics for players of all skill levels
Assist with Golf Shop Operations, including Merchandise Sales and Inventory Management
Manage Tee Sheet reservations, adjustments, and cancellations
Perform Equipment Fitting and minor Club Repair Services
Uphold Rules and Regulations of Yoakum County Golf Club and promote a safe and enjoyable environment for all golfers on property.
